PROFILE
Dr.-Ing. Stefan Schäfer has been working as a patent engineer and as a candidate for German and European patent attorney qualifications since 2022. He is a civil engineer with extensive experience as a research associate at the Obernach Laboratory of the Chair of Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering at the Technical University of Munich. His expertise encompasses physical and numerical modeling of sediment transport and river morphology, fluid mechanics, and hydraulic engineering. Dr. Schäfer is proficient in handling complex measurement equipment, signal and data processing, and managing large datasets. Over several years, he led various research projects, served as a visiting scientist at NTNU Trondheim, and worked as a laboratory engineer at the Laboratory of Hydraulics, Hydrology, and Glaciology (VAW) at ETH Zurich. At Bilfinger Construction GmbH, he gained design experience in structural engineering, particularly in tunneling and transportation infrastructure.
